The American Flag in gray scale has become a symbolic image
representing the country through black American perspective. Where we
live in the same country, we’ve grown up in different worlds. Case and
point, my father gained his citizenship in this country by serving in a
segregated army. It’s a conundrum that was overwhelmingly experienced by
black soldiers, serving for country that considered them less than
equal.
